We have been working with our client, and local community groups, to develop a proposal for a new community venue, art gallery and café in London's Canons Park.

To determine the direction of the scheme, we undertook an initial consultation with local community groups, to better understand their requirements. The need for a community venue, for leisure and educational purposes, became apparent, which then formed the basis of our proposal.

As the site is located within a Listed park, taking a landscape-led approach has been key to establishing a connection between the indoor and outdoor gallery spaces, to retain enjoyment of the park's picturesque views. We have created a fun and engaging community garden for educational purposes, which includes a hydroponic koi pond and planting beds.
